New Update: 500 Subscribers
Madainn mhath, a chairdean!/Good morning, friends!
Good news, A Gaelic Christian now has over 500 subscribers! To all of you, thank you so much for the support. What was originally a platform to discuss academic papers on Celtic Christianity in a public space, the topics discussed here have become a point of conversation among clergy and parishioners across various church traditions.
I have previously stated that I was going to produce a podcast that discusses Celtic culture and Christian history. Fortunately, I have some guests lined up for the next couple of months which include academics and individuals working to keep Celtic languages and culture alive. Stay tuned and I will release the first episode along with an accompanying article.
I have also sent in paperwork for the second edition of the Portús na hÉireann, which will include a more in-depth instruction guide on how to use it and will be in both Irish and English. The goal is to produce a version in each Gaelic language, to not only promote prayer in these languages but to contribute to Gaelic literature. I am hoping for a release in the autumn season.
This could not have happened without the support of my readers. For those who have chosen a paid subscription, I greatly appreciate your support as it has been necessary to fund the various projects I have pursued. From the beginning, I never wanted to paywall my work as I felt that an affordable periodical was for the good of the Gaelic community. However, I encourage paid subscribership as it helps fund projects in the future.
Tapadh leibh/Thank you,
Dustin A. Ashley
